Lost again... Nader's fault?

So the progressive Democrat, Ciro Rodriguez, that we were supporting because he was running for a house seat in a primary in Texas against a conservtive Democrat lost. And the comments at daily kos... are blaming Ralph Nader. I think. I'm not really sure what this guy is saying:

This is doubtless the 99,000th time someone has said this to those of you for whom this applies but:

It sure would have been nice for the progressives who demanded such purity that they voted for St. Ralph in 2000 to remember that UNLESS you win important elections, in the end all you have in the end is some "energized grassroots efforts" that nonetheless failed to win anything but "moral victories". Meanwhile, instead of having an imperfect, but at least sane and more usually than not responsibly sound person in some vital office, you get a malignantly destructive, arrogant reactionary whose goal it is to destroy not only everything progressive that's ever been accomplished, but to salt the earth against even the slight possibility any progressive-minded goals could be accomplished ever again, even should you win office in the future.

You're right, I'm still big-time angry at some of you for all that's happened the last 5 years.

Once again, another flaw of the Democrats. they're a bunch of whiny babies who refuse to accept responsibility for their own failures. it's not the Progressives who cause them to lose elections. it's that they can't win any elections.

Instead of whining and pointing fingers at the Progressives, why don't you look closer to home? do something about the fact that someone as noxious as Cuellar is allowed to call himself a Democrat. with "Democrats" like him and Lieberman, i think the rot is from within.

And get the ridiculous idea out of your head that Progressives are your little sidekick party. we don't like you Democrats either. so don't think you can turn around and kick us for not voting for your candidates. you want us to help you out, you come to us and make a deal. the "lesser of two evils" argument isn't going to cut it. your loser party members are just as likely to vote for invading another country and approving bills to spy on Americans. we're not your lapdogs. until you figure that one out and start treating Progressives like an equal player in the political landscape, there's little further to discuss.

The weirdest thing is that they told Nader he should have run as a primary challenger, not as a third party candidate. Now it seems like they're criticizing people who supported Rodriguez as a primary challenger. I think they just don't like our politics and want us to shut up.
