By fnord12 | September 17, 2007, 10:14 AM | Liberal Outrage Commentsnot likely to happen. according to tpm, in 2004, the Coalition Provisional Authority signed a decree that makes contractors immune from Iraqi prosecution and puts them under the authority of the U.S. Blackwater currently guards the asses of lots of U.S. ambassadors and govt officials so they're unlikely to allow the Iraqi ministry to expel the contractors from their own country. that's some more of that "helping the iraqis to govern themselves" stuff in action. |
