High School Skinning Demonstration

I present this to Wanyas who's sooooo particular about who posts what type of things on this blog.

Superintendent Alvin Lievsay said a student's parent promised to bring in a raccoon for the exercise, but surprised teacher Jerick Hutchinson by bringing the animal in a live trap. Lievsay said Hutchinson, "who used to work in a slaughter house," took the animal outside to the back of his truck Friday and shot it with the nail gun. Lievsay said no students witnessed the raccoon's death.

How many of you didn't get a raccoon skinning demo as part of your science curriculum? Makes you realize how inadequate the education system is, doesn't it?

Particular? It just seems to me like you post the 'wacky' pics. No judgements, just an observation.

One time in elementary school my dad found a paperwasp nest on our property, and blasted the hell out of it with Raid. Then he made me bring the nest and all the wasp corpses to school. It stunk like Raid which even then i knew was poisonous and cancer-causing. My teacher asked "Oh, how did your father get this? Did he use smoke?" I said "...yeah."

Actually, it wasn't even my teacher. My teacher made me take it next store to a different teacher to show him. I guess she didn't want anything to do with it.

This... has nothing to do with raccoon skinning, does it?

This whole thing is complete bullcrap. I dont understand why they have to take it this far. Its not that big of a deal, and honestly it is just like running over a Raccoon on the road. People do it everyday.
