Socks and Barney

For those of you who don't regularly read the comics we've linked to in the pull down menu on the left there, Monday's Socks and Barney was particulary enjoyable. Most especially the commentary outside of the comic itself.

Hillary's quote above was in regards to her brazen, over-the-top lying about her in-no-way-dangerous international travels as first lady. She joked about it on Leno (after all - there's nothing funnier than winning the nomination for President by lying so big, it makes Orwell's body spin in its grave like a whirligig) and gave that artfully crafted line of B.S. quoted in the strip. The key point to note in the quote is that it's simply a true statement of a state of affairs as if no human were involved. Not even, "I mismatched words and actions." It simply "was" a mismatch of words and actions. Brilliant.
