MODOK: Sex God
You all know that i love MODOK, but you've never understood why. Only now, thanks to Ms. Marvel #7, can you see him as i have always seen him:
Isn't he dreamy?!?

i want to know who drew this cause he's got some fucked up notion of what "beautiful" is.
Jim Mooney with Joe Sinnott on inks. But Chris Claremont scripted it, so it's possible Mooney was just told to draw MODOK looking humanoid and Claremont then supplied the word. Not that anyone, mind controlled or otherwise, wouldn't find that sexy form beautiful.
Women literally worshipping at the feet of these manly superheroes angers me.
Even if they are sexy motherfuckers.
In Claremont's defense, MODOK is a *villain* and the scene leads to Ms. Marvel demonstrating her amazing willpower at resisting his mental commands (as if you need to be mentally commanded to love MODOK). This issue also definitively establishes that Ms. Marvel's powers are unique to her and not just a characteristic of her costume. Claremont always attempted to do better in representing women in comics than was done in the past, but your mileage may vary.
