How to ensure someone never looks at a comic again

Mightygodking's How to start reading comics is just... wrong. It's not that his list is full of bad comic, but it's a list of exceptions. It's like a list of books you would give your librarian.

i got the entire chucklepatch reading comics by starting them on Transmet. and Bone?? really? so that you can show them that comics can be just as boring as bad novels? ugh. this list sucks balls.

Here's newsarama's "answer" to Bird: http://blog.newsarama.com/2009/11/25/how-do-you-get-somebody-into-comics/

Not to defend Bird's list, but while you may not like it, Bone is probably the 2nd most popular comic right now among kids and sells in those little scholastic book ordering things in grade school and is loved by many. (not me, I've never read it). The first, I think, is those diary of a wimpy kid books.

But, had someone given me Transmet as my first comic, I'd never read any comics again.

it's cause you have no soul.

Clearly, the first comics you give anyone is not Transmet, not friggin' Bone, but Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars.
