Force Works #7Issue(s): Force Works #7 Review/plot: I miss the Scarlet Witch's cape, though. Meanwhile, USAgent and Spider-Woman fight the Avatars. Ancestor's power is a lot like the Collective Man's (granted he's drawing on a different source). Scarlet Witch eventually zaps Mandarin pretty good, and Force Works flee with Tony. They realize that the Mandarin is letting them run since he thinks they are powerless to stop them. They also learn from Tony about Century's arrival and seeming death alongside War Machine. This corrects the misconception that Century fled from the fight. Separately, War Machine and Century solidify their alliance with the warlord, Chu Lo Yan. However, the warlord is still a criminal, so the alliance is tenuous at best. Century is still disoriented thanks to returning memories. But they ride with the Warlord's troops, and encounter the rest of Force Works and Tony. It's set up as a cliffhanger, with Force Works not realizing that the horde wasn't sent by the Mandarin. At the very end, Mandarin and his Avatars attack Hong Kong again. Quality Rating: C Chronological Placement Considerations: This is part four of Hands of the Mandarin. Part five is in War Machine #10. References: N/A Crossover: Hands of the Mandarin Continuity Insert? N My Reprint: Hands of the Mandarin TPB
CommentsThe narration is really overdoing it. Wanda's never faced a foe this powerful singlehanded? What about Dormammu? Posted by: Michael | February 9, 2018 7:59 PM She was with the rest of the Avengers then. She is fighting a solo battle here. Posted by: Steven | February 10, 2018 12:52 AM Comments are now closed. |
