Hulk annual #8Issue(s): Hulk annual #8 Review/plot: Hulk's rampage in Central City is on the news and on everyone's mind, so when it's detected that the Hulk has landed in Canada, the army decides to send one of their new Alpha Flight agents after them. The Hulk crash lands face down in the dirt, and a local ranger (or something like that) digs him out and befriends him. She takes him back to her cabin and he eventually changes back into Banner. Then Sasquatch shows up, and he is so eager to test his strength against the Hulk that he antagonizes Banner until he changes form. Banner does transform, of course, and they fight. Their fight winds up putting the ranger in danger, and Sasquatch finds himself outmatched, but the Hulk won't stop fighting. It takes a mountain collapsing to stop the fight at which point the Hulk gives Sasquatch one final smack before stomping off. The Hulk was clearly provoked by Sasquatch, but in the end the ranger becomes terrified of the Hulk, which isn't fair to the poor guy and it makes him cry. She's not very enthralled with Sasquatch either, to her credit. Quality Rating: C+ Chronological Placement Considerations: This story takes place between The Incredible Hulk #237-#238. The Hulk was launched into space by the Machine Man at the end of #237, and he lands in Canada this issue. In the beginning of #238, we see him stalking the wheat fields of Saskatchewan. Has to take place after Uncanny X-Men #120-121. References:

Sure the Marvel universe has so many monsters you can't really help it but still... I have no idea why it's in there but the selected "bests" are a little random. Posted by: Robert | March 8, 2016 1:44 PM Comments are now closed. |
