Ka-Zar the Savage #28Issue(s): Ka-Zar the Savage #28 Review/plot: There's been tension between Ka-Zar and Shanna since their near death experiences in the last arc. Shanna has been uncomfortable because she's somehow sensed the presence of Leanne, who is presumed dead but has indeed been resurrected thanks to the intervention of Belasco. Meanwhile, Dherk has detected seismic activity coming from Belasco's Inferno caverns. Ka-Zar and Shanna volunteer to plant an explosive that should stop a catastrophic earthquake. During the course of their quest they work out their relationship, and Ka-Zar proposes to Shanna. This issue does a decent job of maintaining the focus on the Ka-Zar/Shanna relationship. Doesn't quite live up to the Bruce Jones issues, but it's not as bad as i thought it would be. Mignola's inks don't work as well with Gil's pencils as i'd like, but the art is still pretty good. Leanne's loyal lovefoot Sep dies this issue. Quality Rating: B- Chronological Placement Considerations: N/A References:
