Marvel Fanfare #53 (Iron Man)Issue(s): Marvel Fanfare #53 (Iron Man story only) Review/plot: What makes it great is that the story is from the perspective of the aliens, to the point where all of the human dialogue is gibberish. It's not just that gimmick, though. I love that the aliens use phrases like "smooth skinned bipeds" as an insult. And think that Iron Man is a defense robot at first. And then start to realize that they're on that planet, with all the super-heroes. And also have mundane concerns like wanting hazard pay... ...and worry about their mortgage. Fun story. A case where there's some actual innovation going on in Marvel Fanfare. Quality Rating: B+ Chronological Placement Considerations: The main story in this issue is covered in a separate entry.
