Tales Of Suspense #92 (Captain America)Issue(s): Tales Of Suspense #92 (Captain America story only) Review/plot: Then Cap spots an AIM assassin robot going into SHIELD's barbershop front. He goes in to find Nick Fury dead. He destroys the robot and then finds out that the dead Fury was an LMD, and Cap blundered into a plot by SHIELD to trick AIM into believing that Sharon Carter is legitimately defecting. Since Cap screwed up the plan, he now has to rescue Sharon, which he's OK with cause he's in looooooove with her. The original printing of this issue featured the classic grammatical blunder where Cap says "Only one of us is gonna walk out of here under his own steam, and it won't be me!" but unfortunately it was corrected for the Marvel Double Feature reprint. Ah, my GIT PDFs have the original: Quality Rating: C- Chronological Placement Considerations: Captain America was on temporary duty with SHIELD after recently showing up to help the Avengers with Diablo in Avengers #42. Cap won't be able to go after Sharon right away, because first he will have to travel across the Iron Curtain with the Avengers to rescue the Black Widow. References: N/A Crossover: N/A Continuity Insert? N My Reprint: Marvel Double Feature #16
CommentsAww, Mentalfloss linked to you. Exciting stuff. http://mentalfloss.com/article/68192/8-memorable-comics-screw-ups?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Partner&utm_campaign=FBK Posted by: gfsdf gfbd | September 24, 2016 4:00 PM I remember being very confused by that remark as a kid. Actually Cap had to cross the Bamboo Curtain to go into China. Now that I think about that term is not used much anymore.
