Prison Sex by Tool
It took so long to remember just what happened
I was so young and vestal then, you know it hurt me
But I'm breathing so I guess I'm still alive
Even if signs seem to tell me otherwise
I've got my hands bound
My head down my eyes closed
And my throat wide open
Do unto others what has been done to you
Do unto others what has been done to you
I'm treading water. I need to sleep awhile
My lamb and martyr, you look so precious
Won't you, won't you come a bit closer
Close enough so I can smell you
I need you to feel this. I can't stand to burn too long
Released in this sodomy
For one sweet moment I'm whole
Do unto you now what has been to me
Do unto you now what has been to me
You're breathing so I guess youre still alive
Even if signs seem to tell me otherwise
Wont you, wont you come just a bit closer
Close enough so I can smell you
I need you to feel this
I need this to make me whole
There's release in this sodomy
For I am your witness that
Blood and flesh can be trusted
And only this one holy medium brings me peace of mind
Got your hands bound, your head down,
Your eyes closed,
You look so precious now
I have found some kind of temporary sanity in this
Shit, blood, and cum on my hands
I've come round full circle
My lamb and martyr, this will be over soon
You look so precious
You look so precious now...

Baby's On Fire by Brian Eno
Baby's on fire
Better throw her in the water
Look at her laughing
Like a heifer to the slaughter Baby's on fire
And all the laughing boys are bitching
Waiting for photos
Oh the plot is so bewitching Rescuers row row
Do your best to change the subject
Blow the wind blow blow
Lend some assistance to the object Photographers snip snap
Take your time she's only burning
This kind of experience
Is necessary for her learning If you'll be my flotsam
I could be half the man I used to
They said you were hot stuff
And that's what Baby's been reduced to... Juanita and Juan
Very clever with maraccas
Making their fortunes
Selling second-hand tobaccoes Juan dances at Chico's
And when the clients are evicted
He empties the ashtrays
And pockets all that he's collected But Baby's on fire!
And all the instruments agree that
Her temperature's rising
But any idiot would know that

First off, let me confess that i've never been to CBGB. Never. But i know that it helped shape the music scene in the 70s and i know alot of great acts started their careers here. So, i think it's ok for me to feel sad about it. After 33 years, CBGB is closing its doors. The homeless advocacy group that owns the building decided not to renew their lease. The owner spent a year in a legal battle to keep the place open, but it's over now and he's moving CBGB to Las Vegas. I think a Las Vegas CBGB will never quite compare to a NYC CBGB. CBGB's time has been long passed, but its closing is a sad occasion, a symbolic ending to a great musical era. Some musicians who had performed at CBGB during its formative years came back to give send off performances - Debbie Harry, Patti Smith, and the Talking Heads among them. Link

Christian Says by Tones on Tail
Christian says everyone's to love him
Christian says just let go
Christian says you can't be happy being this way
Christian says he'll never let you go
Christian says he can't let you, let you run free
'Cause Christian says he needs you so
In this age of frozen freaks
The only highs we get are low
In this age of cold relief
Brings only what a way to go
With money in your pocket
You say wise and always free
But with that money in your pocket
You've got nowehere to go
But baby, baby, baby wants an empire
Baby, baby, baby needs a real thief
'Cause baby, baby, baby wants an empire
Baby, baby, baby wants a real piece
These words hang empty in the air
The only sounds you speak are dumb
And I'm a a vampire
In this age of golden grief
Your own reflection's on the blink
This burning issue won't cease
This burning issue's got to go
'Cause baby, baby, baby wants an empire
Baby, baby, baby needs a real thief
Baby, baby, baby wants an empire
Baby, baby, baby wants a real piece

Too sexy by far
And I'm too sexy for my hat
