Beginning with this year (or really even last year), it's less appropriate to call this project a chronology and more just a collection of the random assortment of books i happen to own. I still try to keep the books in the "correct" order as best as i can gleam by looking at the MCP, but it's probably incorrect and you shouldn't rely on it. I'll probably only be doing updates in the late fall through early spring, so nothing new for a while (although you never know). Also, comments are disabled indefinitely due to a few people being annoying and me not wanting to moderate anymore.
As noted in 1994's description, this year the books are spit into editorial silos. That doesn't completely prevent cross-silo guest stars (e.g., the Avengers show up for Nick Fury's funeral in Hulk) but there is no line-wide crossover this year; instead there are a lot of crossovers with silos. The biggest is the Age of Apocalypse, which supplants the regular X-titles with a special alternate-universe event for over 4 months (especially if you count its prelude, Legionquest). The Spider-books seem to be in constant crossover mode, dealing with the Clone stuff.
Hulk continues to be worth reading. Warren Ellis writes a bunch of stuff. Mark Waid & Ron Garney's Captain America run begins. Beyond those, not much to recommend in terms of creative teams.
$1.95 for the "Direct Edition" is the standard price although many books are available at $1.50 "Newstand". Marvel's traditional trade dress is all but gone. The character corner boxes instead reflect the silo imprint.
| What's Missing? Instead of a typical summary of events, here are notable events that i haven't covered. See also the probably incomplete list of missing books for 1995.
- Lots of Clone Saga stuff.
- Avengers: The Crossing!
- If you're into cross-company stuff, Marvel buys Malibu comics and does crossovers with their Ultraverse. Also, the Marvel vs. DC crossover would take place this year chronologically (although it's published next year).
- Smaller crossovers : Atlantis Rising (FF,FForce,Warlock), Strange Days (FF,FFU).
- An Over The Edge crossover involving the Marvel Edge books which ends with the death of Nick Fury by the Punisher (i've only covered the Hulk issues)
- A streamlining of the Punisher books. All are canceled and replaced by a single new series.
- The cancellation of Thunderstike (including his death), Warlock & The Infinity Watch (and the disappearance of the Infinity Gems, into the Ultraverse?!?!), Blade, Namor, Fantastic Four Unlimited, Midnight Sons Unlimited,
- The debut of Avengers Unplugged!
- George Perez begins a run writing (not penciling) Silver Surfer.

New characters (focusing just on what i've covered): Age of Apocalypse introduces X-Man, Holocaust, Dark Beast, Sugar Man, and an alternate universe Blink. We also meet a new New Warrior, Timeslip, and a new semi-heroic Green Goblin.
