Alpha Flight #65Issue(s): Alpha Flight #65 Review/plot: ![]() ...and Madison has been having nightmares. ![]() Unfortunately, his dreams seem to be coming true, and he starts to go mad. So it's probably a good thing Heather is wearing her suit. ![]() ![]() ![]() Madison eventually comes back to reality, but his suit is still attacking. He phases out of his suit and forms a new one to fight it, same as he did two issues ago when this same thing happened (although the suit was out of control for a different reason). ![]() It turns out to just be his own guilt over the death of his brother and his friend Roger, although we also see a cairn glowing at Talisman's site where we saw evidence of the Dream Queen last issue. This is marginally better than last issue since it actually allows for some character development and at least makes a nominal effort of setting up for a return of the Dream Queen, but it's still pretty terrible. Some pretty weird dream images, if nothing else. ![]() Quality Rating: C- Chronological Placement Considerations: The subplot with Jade Dragon and the Chinese operatives continues to move at a snail's pace and i'm not looking at it for placement purposes. CommentsI'm really curious about fnord's thoughts on Bill Mantlo's swan song next issue. Posted by: Jay Patrick | September 5, 2014 5:44 PM Comments are now closed. |
