Avengers #127Issue(s): Avengers #127 Review/plot: Gorgon invites the Avengers to the wedding of Crystal and Quicksilver. Quicksilver does his best to avoid seeing the Avengers, since he is still not talking to the Scarlet Witch. The FF are also in Attilan for the wedding. The Human Torch and Crystal have a reconciliation, but we are shown that Crystal has some doubts about her marriage to Quicksilver. The Swordsman and Mantis are fighting as well. During some pre-wedding festivities, Iron Man and Medusa suddenly attack the Alpha Primitives. Relations between the Alphas and the "regular" Inhumans are still strained despite the reforms that Black Bolt has put in place to attempt to make them more equal. Omega, the robot that is powered by the Inhuman's secret guilt over their treatment of the Alpha Primitives, attacks Crystal. The one regret i have about my decision to not have children is that no one will ever praise my genes while being attacked by a giant robot. Everyone suspects that Maximus is behind the attack but it turns out he has already been knocked out. It turns out that Omega has been taken over by Ultron... ...and he is using Omega's emotional power charger to feed on the negative feelings that everyone has brought to this wedding. Quality Rating: C+ Chronological Placement Considerations: Continues directly into Fantastic Four #150. References:

He quickly went back to Charlton, and after they stopped accepting new art during 1976, he went to DC full-time(usually receiving bad inking that made his art look really sketchy). Posted by: david banes | October 23, 2014 3:00 AM I love how all the Avengers are invited, including Mantis, who Pietro and Crystal haven't met, and Swordsman, who Pietro probably still thinks is a villain and traitor, given the last time they saw each other. Posted by: Erik Beck | March 4, 2015 11:52 AM As everyone is no doubt aware by now, Mantis is one of my favorite characters. Nevertheless, I had to totally laugh in agreement when one blogger, in his write-up on the wedding of Quicksilver & Crystal, described Mantis as "the Yoko Ono-style girlfriend of the Swordsman" :) http://www.openlettersmonthly.com/stevereads/2014/08/comics-the-wedding-of-crystal-and-quicksilver/ Posted by: Ben Herman | September 16, 2016 1:18 PM "not Maximus" may be the most genuinely stunning plot twist cliffhanger in comic book history.
