Review/plot:
I have to admit i was a little confused when i first opened this up and saw everyone was still alive after Galactus ate the entire universe. Especially since i was sure that the coming of Galactus was going to spell the end of the Rebornverse. But everyone here was acting like nothing had happened. Then i thought maybe this issue had started back in time and was showing everything from the Avengers' perspective instead of the FF's. But things weren't lining up. I thought maybe the creators had missed a handoff between books. Then i finally got to the point where we find out that Dr. Doom had gone back in time after everyone failed to stop Galactus the first time, and he was trying again.
Which is a cool idea, compounded by the fact that he fails again here, and once more in the Iron Man book before finally getting it right in Captain America.
I'm not going to get into the mechanism of how they fail each time, but i like the idea of Doom learning from each failure and building on it. (More cynically, it's a great way to do a crossover without each group of creators having to worry too much about coordinating with what came before.)
