Avengers West Coast annual #5 (Henry Pym)
Issue(s): Avengers West Coast annual #5 (Henry Pym story only)
This is just a joke back-up feature. Pym has shrunken an atomic canon and then lost it, and it could be triggered if anyone steps on it. So everyone has to pitch in and help look for it. Except for the Scarlet Witch, whose unpredictable hex powers are not welcome at this time.
After a lot of searching and one gratuitous ass shot...
...the device turns out to be in Wonder Man's popcorn.
Ha, ha, whatever.
Quality Rating: D
Chronological Placement Considerations: A note puts this story between Avengers West Coast #53-54. The story takes place "soon" after the Whackos' fight with the U-Foes in Avengers West Coast #53.
Continuity Insert? N

This must be where "The Hawkeye Initiative" got it's true start from.

This issue is another reason why the timeline of Avengers West Coast 53-Avengers 312-Avengers West Coast 54 can't work. Acts of Vengeance would have us believe that Wanda came out of her catatonia, went to the East Coast and then fell back into her catatonia while returning to the West Coast all in the space of a few hours while Simon was searching for the U-Foes but there's no room for this story.

The title is a reference to the film "Honey I Shrunk the Kids".

@Michael - A film made in a studio reproduction of my grandparents house. Literally.
I have to admit, I have a soft spot for this story. Just a nice bit of harmless fun as an annual back-up. The exact type of thing for a back-up story in an annual. But yes, it is hell on continuity.
