Daredevil #103Issue(s): Daredevil #103 Review/plot: Peter Parker shows up to interview Daredevil... ...but a villain with steel-infused skin named Ramrod (origin: He used to operate a ramrod on an oil rig, but his body was crushed in an accident and he was rebuilt by the mysterious crime boss) shows up to retrieve the evidence. Ramrod is able to locate the papers because his boss somehow ensured that they would be stored in a radioactive box (yikes!). Rather than follow Ramrod back to his boss and find out who the mystery criminal is, Daredevil and the Black Widow beat up Ramrod and take the evidence back. Peter helps as Spider-Man, blowing his secret identity again for anyone who cares to think about it. Peter muses that his "jokes just aren't as funny since Gwendy died". In the flashback of Ramrod's origin, Moondragon appears here in shadows, working with Ramrod's employer. This is the second villain to be named Ramrod. The first was a robot that appeared only in Iron Man #36-37. I've been griping a bit about how Gene Colan's art, while great, just didn't seem to be a good fit for Daredevil on previous issues. Don Heck's art, on the other hand, feels very retro. Quality Rating: C Chronological Placement Considerations: Spider-Man appears here between Marvel Team-Up #12-13, which both take place between Amazing Spider-Man #123-124. References:
