Daredevil #130Issue(s): Daredevil #130 Review/plot: The most important development is the opening of Daredevil's storefront legal clinic. The second plot is Foggy's election, which is not going well, in part thanks to the weird unauthorized commercials that have been running. I've also included the scene with Foggy's sister Candace showing up. Matt doesn't seem to be actively pursuing a relationship with her, but she does conveniently show up to kiss him whenever he's trying to make another girlfriend jealous. The rest of the issue, in fact the main plot of the issue, is some weird nonsense about voodoo. Chicken heads in Central Park... ...and some dude in a skeleton costume fooling the local Haitians. It's a bizarre mix of plots, but the ending, with Foggy losing the election but being accepted back as Matt's partner, is really nice. As Chris notes in the comments, this ends a longtime status quo of Foggy being Distract Attorney, going back to Daredevil #48. I'll leave you with this: Hey, now that Black Widow is out of the book, someone has to provide the cheesecake. He actually looks like a lot of Mego action figures that wind up on eBay. CommentsBatman had a villain called Death-Man in the Silver Age with very much the same costume. Either Candy Nelson has wandered in from one of the more amateurishly drawn Archie comics, or else somebody whacked her over the head with a 2x4. Posted by: Mark Drummond | February 10, 2015 9:18 PM The "Storefront" logo doesn't exactly looks professional. Well, it would for a nursery school. Posted by: Damiano | January 17, 2017 2:23 AM True enough Posted by: jti88 . | January 19, 2017 10:08 AM Since this is the end of Foggy's tenure as the DA, which goes all the way back to issue #48, can the References make note of that? It is a significant tenure and was the status quo for almost a hundred issues. It is hard to believe though that Foggy would have had trouble finding a place after being a DA although I guess the strange commercials that torpedoed his election would have caused problems with that as well. Posted by: fnord12 | September 13, 2017 5:44 PM Klaus Jansons inks really made the art in DD look ahead of its time. I know he was a recongnized name, but never knew if he got the attention he deserved.
