Review/plot:
The Masked Marauder has the Gladiator broken out of jail, and they scheme to kill Foggy Nelson, who they believe to be Daredevil. But the two super-villains spend so much time fighting each other...

...that they're unable to supervise the Marauder's minion's assault, and the goons are defeated when the real Daredevil shows up to help out.

The villains flee their lair in a rather optimistic mood after learning that Daredevil is coming after them.

With Daredevil appearing alongside Foggy Nelson, it ends Foggy's ongoing deception that he is Daredevil. Karen tells Foggy that she likes him anyway, but in the same breath tells him that she thinks Matt is "the most wonderful man I've ever known", and Matt overhears that.

A love triangle finally undone? Not quite yet.

When Daredevil first shows up at Foggy's place, he enters through a window. When he leaves (before the Marauder's goons show up), the window is broken! I guess they had a pretty serious argument that we weren't privy to.

Historical Significance Rating: 1

Chronological Placement Considerations: The issue ends with a "menacing shadow" outside the law office, but issue #20 doesn't start with the same scene.

Comments

The Gladiator's speech style seems to change slightly since last issue. He was a little more well spoken then. Chalk it up to his mental problems maybe?

This was another set up issue merely setting the stage for what came later. The soap opera bits were well done.
