Review/plot:
Oh my god, you guys. Don't make me review a two-part story by Ann Nocenti about voodoo. Please, i'll do anything... i'll... i'll... i'll read a DC comic!

Ok fine, but it's going to be quick. In short, there is voodoo.

The cops don't want Daredevil involved (0nly in a Nocenti comic would a black cat cross the path of a cop right when everyone's talking about superstition).

But Daredevil does get involved.

In other news, Matt Murdock is an insensitive asshole.

But this one isn't actually his fault.

The bloody glove is all part of the voodoo. Karen searches for Matt, and seeks help from Policeman Who Always Says Exactly What He Is Thinking.

Meanwhile, this is Mambo, who will later turn out to be a sister to Calypso, Kraven's girlfriend.

She created the zombie guy, the Nameless One.

Daredevil fights Nameless One, and all these pacifist wussies get violent when the chips are down.

Daredevil wins when he gets his mask back, because voodoo.

Karen has learned the valuable lesson to not doubt her man.

And voodoo people promise to return.

A Grand Funk poster in 1987?

The Nameless One looks oddly like Elektra from the back.

Is this the Mambo Layla from Marvel's Tales of the Zombie magazine?

As far as i can see, they're not related, Jeff. I haven't read the Tales of Zombie issues yet (they're in the pile for the next back-issue add). But i think "mambo" is just a title for a female voodoo priest, so there isn't meant to be a relationship.

Is it just me or does Karen's "I know you only use your fists to save lives" re-lettered?

Nocenti probably had something darker in mind that was edited at the last minute..
