Dazzler #2

Issue(s): Dazzler #2
Cover Date: Apr 81
Title: "Where demons fear to dwell!"
Credits:
Tom DeFalco - Writer
John Romita Jr. with Walt Simonson - Penciler
Alfredo P. Alcala - Inker

Review/plot:
The UHMCC says that the Marvel Index issue #9B added the Walt Simonson credit.

Dazzler's first big gig and the audience is full of super-heroes.

Which is lucky, because the Enchantress attacks.

I see Simonson's style in the troll battle scenes very clearly.

After she and her Asgardian monsters are driven back, Dazzler is approached by Joseph Ercoli, a music publisher. Ercoli gives Dazzler the business card of Harry Osgood, a talent agent.

The next day Dazzler is accompanied to Osgood's office by a number of super-heroes, who intimidate him and his secretary Cassandra Ferlenghetti into letting her audition.

Once he hears her sing, he signs her.

It's a very silly story, of course, but it's cute.

Your "Go for it!" panel of the day:

it was always hilarious the way that every hero in the world was always waiting around to help the girl who didnt want to be a superhero. like the FF, the avengers, the x-men, spider-man etc had nothing better to do than stand around waiting to hear about her career. no crime to stop today, lads?

Critics at the time suspected that chunks of the first two issues were redrawn to fix continuity lapses due to the publishing delay.

Haha, this was amazing.

She stopped an inter-dimensional Asgardian demon with the power of DISCO. And roller blades. In the second issue.

This can only get worse.

Only Disco DeFalco and Tony Stark truly understand the awesome power of a fully operational pair of roller skates.
