Defenders #39Issue(s): Defenders #39 Review/plot: This issue has a very misleading cover, which seems to indicate that the Defenders will be fighting Clea, something that does not happen at all in the issue. See the scene below, which comes as close as anything in the issue to the scene depicted on the cover. Quality Rating: B Chronological Placement Considerations: Luke Cage seems to have returned to Dr. Strange's house with the rest of the Defenders after the events of last issue, meaning that no other Luke Cage appearances should occur between then and now. This issue has been placed earlier than its published date in order to accommodate Luke Cage appearances in Power Man. References:

I can't remember)". Posted by: Mark Drummond | August 21, 2011 9:34 PM Klaus Janson didn't really nail the inking job in this issue. The faces look much too dark in some of these panels. Clea's face looks awful, looks like Janson accidentally spilled the bottle on her. Her collar just looks wrong, too. This could have been done way better. I was slowly beginning to pull away from the Defenders as well as collecting Marvel comics at this time, going into my 3rd year.
