Dracula Lives #13Issue(s): Dracula Lives #13 Review/plot: This story seems extra sad to me. It's about a woman that just can't get guys to like her. ![]() ![]() ![]() What's wrong with this poor lady? She seems attractive enough, and we don't get to see a lot of her personality but she seems normal enough. Why doesn't anyone want to stay with her? All we know is that she's into making avant-garde art... ![]() ...and comes across as clingy. ![]() Anyway, Dracula does like her, at least at first, and he turns her into a vampire and they hang out for a while, doing vampire stuff. ![]() ![]() But eventually Dracula gets sick of her too... ![]() ...so she impales herself on a stake. ![]() Awwww! Quality Rating: D Chronological Placement Considerations: Just for the sake of containing these standalone stories, i'm keeping all of the modern day appearances in Dracula Lives #4-13 between Tomb of Dracula #21-22. CommentsBelieve it or not, when Marvel revived Supernatural Thrillers as a recurring serial book rather than a series of one-shot stories, the starring feature was announced to be "The Victims of Dracula". I think this was hastily abandoned when someone at Marvel realized that this would give them 4 books with Dracula in the title, while their best-selling superhero, Spider-Man, only had 3 1/2(he had to share Marvel Team-Up with the Human Torch at the time), making Dracula the de facto Marvel Flagship Character. I think the "Victims" episodes later appeared in another b&w book(Monsters Unleashed?) Posted by: Mark Drummond | February 9, 2015 11:49 AM Comments are now closed. |
