Fantastic Four #154Issue(s): Fantastic Four #154 Review/plot: The remainder of this issue is someone else showing up in that same costume that Reed used back then and beating the crap out of Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, and the Human Torch. It turns out to be Nick Fury, who is testing a new weapons system. I assume this was a rushed fill-in issue, but it's cute enough. Quality Rating: C- Chronological Placement Considerations: Pushed forward a bit to accommodate the Thing's Marvel Two-In-One appearances. FF #151-157 take place between TIO #7-8. References:

CommentsThis issue was built around a reprint probably because Len Wein was pressed for time after becoming EIC. Roy Thomas quit the EIC position a bit abruptly after being approached by Stan Lee to get involved with DC publisher Carmine Infantino about something concerning freelancer pay rates that Roy considered collusive and unethical. After Roy quit, the freelancer pay thing got dropped. Posted by: Mark Drummond | August 20, 2011 2:03 PM Comments are now closed. |
