Review/plot:
Howard was arrested after the frog incident from Giant-Size Man-Thing #4. After the police determine that he's a real talking duck and not a man in a duck suit...

...they release him from jail so they don't have to deal with him.

Then Howard battles a vampire cow (sired by Dracula himself).

    

I must be getting sucked in to Gerber's style of wacky humor - there's a scene at the end of the story with Howard standing over the cow's corpse yelling to the police that he's stopped the farm killer that made me laugh out loud.

Cultural difference between ducks and people, I guess: a person would probably more embarrassed at taking off his trousers than his jacket, tie, and hat, but Howard doesn't even wear pants.

The title (and character) would make for a great Roger Corman production. Or a TV movie on SyFy. One can just hear it now: "From the team that brought you the SHARKNADO franchise comes the newest name in terror: HELLCOW!"

Marvel should have kept Hellcow around long enough to have her encounter Quincy Harker's band of vampire hunters. Maybe even give Saint the spotlight and a break from those boring skull sessions Harker and Co. were prone to. Vampire cow versus vampire-hunting German shepherd. How could you go wrong with that?:-)
