Characters Appearing: Dum Dum Dugan LMD, Gabriel Jones, Gladstone Hawkins, Godzilla, Henry Pym, Hugh Howards, Jimmy Woo, Red Ronin, Robert Takiguchi, Tamara Hashioka, Wasp, Yuriko Takiguchi
Issue(s): Godzilla #17
Explaining to Hawkings who Pym is, he says "Oh, he's an Avenger, more schizo than the rest - also known as Ant-Man, Giant-Man, Goliath, and Yellowjacket".
Pym creates a shrinking gas, and Rob Takiguchi lures Godzilla out so that the giant lizard can be hit with it.
Rob worries that Godzilla will see it as a betrayal, and feels guilty about it. The gas takes a little while to fully take effect...
...but eventually SHIELD has a more manageably-sized Godzilla to deal with.
Nice use of the larger Marvel universe, and a cool set-up for future issues.
This issue opens by showing us that Godzilla is a plant-eater, or possibly just an omnivore but it's contrasted to the fact that he was accused of eating cattle in the previous arc.
Quality Rating: C
Chronological Placement Considerations: Issue #18-24 begins not long after this issue and that arc has a lot of guest appearances with various dependencies. I'm therefore allowing a fair amount of time to pass between the past arc and this one, even though Godzilla is still out on the range near the ranchers from the previous issues. It's not said how much time has passed.

Am I the only one who thinks it highly unlikely that Jan would need to be introduced to Gabe at this late date?

Looking at my character intersection search and checking some issues, it seems the closest they came to meeting prior to this was in Avengers #72 when Gabe stood behind Dum Dum while Dum Dum was talking to the Avengers over a viewscreen.
