Iron Man #12Issue(s): Iron Man #12 Review/plot: ![]() Yep, we're once again trying to defeat Galactus. And failing. Good thing for Dr. Doom. ![]() I noted in FF #12 how with the addition of Plasma, we finally got heralds of Galactus that line up neatly with the four Classic Elements. Having solved that, the next piece of the holy grail would be to associate the Fantastic Four with those elements. Again, with the Human Torch and the Thing you're halfway there. But the other two don't fit so well. The Invisible Woman isn't air just because she can turn invisible (she's still solid!). And Mr. Fantastic's power is that he can stretch, not that he's full of fluid. But i guess someone said close enough, and here we are. ![]() It's just a quick moment and nothing is explicitly done with it. I've just always been interested in the idea. Quality Rating: D+ Chronological Placement Considerations: This is part three of Heroes Reunited. The final part is in Captain America #12. For what it's worth, Nick Fury talks here like he's been the Nick Fury appearing in these books all along. He says that if it wasn't for him, the Avengers would never have been formed, with a reference to Avengers #1. But Captain America #11 revealed that that Nick Fury was an evil LMD, and Cap #11 definitely takes place prior to this. So i guess he's still an opportunistic bastard. References:
