Review/plot:
Stark Enterprise's Costa Diablo branch is overrun by corrupt Central American revolutionaries.

Iron Man heads down there in a borrowed Avengers Quinjet to sort things out.

The twist is that the local Stark executive was actually the coordinator of the attack. Iron Man ends up not able to do anything to stop them, but the executive gets killed by the revolutionaries he thought he was running.

As always, well told and well drawn.

Quality Rating: B

Historical Significance Rating: 1

Chronological Placement Considerations: No dependencies for either Iron Man or Captain America (who lends the Quinjet).

Look out, Tom Savini! Iron Man's behind you!

The Michelinie & JRjr run on Iron Man is among the most character defining, iconic runs in comic - only, now, is it finally receiving the recognition it deserves.

I always thought Michelinie's run gets far too much attention from Iron Man fans.
The Bill Mantlo run that preceeded it was fun, while the Denny O'Neil run that followed it was genius. Michelinie in the middle of that didn't do much for me.
I've always seen the Denny O'Neil run being the definitive version of Iron Man.
I wish the O'Neil run would get more recognition.

I can't argue with the O'Neil run's legitimacy. But Michelinie delivered # 128! 'Nuff FUCKIN SAID!
