Iron Man annual #5Issue(s): Iron Man annual #5 Review/plot: ![]() ...go up against Madame Slay... ![]() ...and a (seemingly) resurrected Eric Killmonger. ![]() ![]() Killmonger is equipped with one of the Mandarin's rings. The plot (aside from vengeance on the Black Panther) is to convert all of the Wakandan vibranium into the Savage Land vibranium, which, because of the quantities in Wakanda, would destroy all of the metal in the world. I believe this is the first time a distinction has been drawn between the two vibranium sources, although they've clearly been treated differently in past stories. ![]() "Killmonger" is killed again at the end of the issue... ![]() ...and the Mandarin's involvement is revealed to the readers, but not the characters. ![]() ![]() A decent story. ![]() Panther's "Electronic Jungle", which was prominent in his first appearance but subsequently left out of the focus of Black Panther stories, is shown here, but there's no real explanation for it. ![]() Quality Rating: B Chronological Placement Considerations: It will be revealed in Over the Edge #6 that the Killmonger appearing here is really simulacrum created by the Mandarin.
