Review/plot:
I like this idea of making every important word a giant logo.

Werewolf By Night is in Canada tracking down the Wendigo.

The Werewolf can't beat the Wendigo, but it just so happens that once a year the Wendigo turns back into his mortal form, and it's that time now, and Werewolf intends to offer him a chance to be put out of his misery.

But it turns out he's not that miserable.

Ok, here's the thing, Elder Gods. It's all fine and good to punish someone from eating flesh. But what about all the people the Wendigo eats? Why do they get punished? Can't we just send the guy to Hell or something?

I guess Werewolf By Night has had enough killing in his life, but it seems like killing this guy wouldn't have been so bad. I mean he was literally just eating someone a minute ago, and he's back to being an immortal monster in another few minutes.

Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP make this the same Wendigo that appeared in Spider-Man #8-11. That was the "good" Wendigo, so that doesn't seem right to me. But lord knows i don't want to create any more Wendigos (i've got five already), so i'm going with it. Maybe he eventually lost control of himself. Which would sort of defeat the whole point of the McFarlane story, but then it wasn't much of a story to begin with.

Comments

Now that there's another benign Wendigo appearance in the project in Blaze 4-6, I have to wonder how they concluded at the MCP that this cannibal Wendigo is the same one from that story and Spider-Man 8-12.
