Marvel Comics Presents #121 (Andromeda)

Review/plot:
Andromeda seemed to be making a comeback during Atlantis Attacks, but then that was the last we saw of her again until now. She is still leading a rebellion against Attuma, who currently rules Atlantis.

Although the fact that she is Attuma's daughter makes her leadership position tenuous (both the Attuma and daughter parts).

But despite these things, she continues to help the rebels.

The normal format limitations aside, this is a good use of Marvel Comics Presents. Mark Moretti, who will mostly do work for Valiant, eschews splash panels for the most part and gives us dense layouts allowing for a fair amount of story in these eight pages. And the plot gives us a little insight into Andromeda while showing us what she's currently up to. It's decent all around.

Quality Rating: C

Historical Significance Rating: 1

Chronological Placement Considerations: That seems to be Attuma himself in the opening splash. The MCP don't list him, but i have.

Comments

I get why the dialogue balloons are as they are, but it looks like everyone's "thinking" to each other.
