Review/plot:
Iron Fist is working with FBI Agent Peck, who we recently saw working with American Eagle in a Marvel Comics Presents story by this same creative team. Iron Fist is working with Peck in return for a promise that the FBI will help Dakota Investigations with an unrelated "life or death" matter. But for now they are protecting a mob informant who specifically requested that Fist be his protector.

The convoy transporting the informant is attacked by a gang led by a big guy named Ken.

Iron Fist fights him.

Ken loses the flight and flees to a helicopter, which he deliberately crashes in order to kill himself as a matter of honor for failing his mission. The mob informant then says that he is deliberately trying to die slowly and painfully from cancer as a way to atone for all the evil he's done in his life.

Very weird and abrupt story. It might have been more interesting to merge this with the Spider-Man story from two issues ago: a mob informant is dying of cancer and wants to die, and the hero has to debate fighting off Deathurge so that the government can get the information it needs.

Comments

Is this Ron Wilson the Ron Wilson we all know from the seventies and eighties? His style is unrecognizable. If it is, he was clearly trying to go down the Herb Trimpe path of changing his art to mimic the times.

Chris beat me to it...but Ron seems to have done a better job Liefeldizing his pencils than Herb.
