Review/plot:
The Starjammers are flying along, minding their own business, when they are caught in a tractor beam and pulled to the Planet of Short Women.

The Short Women are a peaceful race, but they are being threatened by an "encruitment vehicle of the Ghrand Jahr", which is a Shi'ar commando unit that engages in murderous tactics. Corsair agrees to help (over the objections of Raza). You might think this would result in a space battle, but instead the Starjammers will have to fight a demon to get material for the planet's forcefield.

With the implausible way the Queen was talking ("we are too gentle and small to fight a demon"), i really thought that the quest was going to be a ruse of some kind, but it turns out everything was in earnest. The conflict was really about Hepzibah trying to pocket one of the gems for herself, but she turns it over in the end.

We get such bizarre little half-baked stories here.

Is that the Queen or the King? It looks like a guy to me.
