CommentsCorrection: He lectured the asshole Lava Man who threatened the surface dwellers with expansionism. A far cry from their pacifist ways during Roger Stern's Avengers two-parter. Unlike Stern, Nicieza seemed to favor portraying the Lava Men as prospective Earth invaders if pissed off enough by the surface dwellers. Posted by: Clutch | April 26, 2018 5:02 PM Yeah, I've got to agree with Clutch on that one. Stingray was in the middle of giving credit to the Lava Men for their help, and they basically turned around and said screw your thanks because one day we're going to conquer you. In light of that, I think Stingray's response was pretty diplomatic. Posted by: Dermie | April 27, 2018 11:38 PM Add my voice to.the chorus. based on fnord's assessment, I went into the scans expecting some real mega-prick dialogue from Stingray directed at a benign Lava Man. What I read was the exact opposite. Posted by: JP! | April 28, 2018 4:16 PM I always liked Stingray's outfit. Posted by: Jesse | April 28, 2018 9:16 PM "The only way to stop these surface idiots from drilling our habitat is to conquer them". witch doctor Jinku was right.
