Marvel Comics Presents #38 (Hulk)Issue(s): Marvel Comics Presents #38 (Hulk story only) Review/plot: Mr. Berengetti sends the Hulk to lean on a music executive who owes Berengetti. As "interest" on the late payment, Berengetti also wants the exec to arrange for the reclusive musician Brian Newman to perform a special concert for Berengetti's girlfriend, Suzie. The exec flees to Europe, so the Hulk seeks Newman out. Newman refuses to perform even when confronted by him. Newman explains that he doesn't want to be controlled and he just wants to finish his symphony. The Hulk gives it a listen, and agrees with him. My general opinions about these short Marvel Comics Presents stories aside, i thought this was pretty good. I do think it's kind of ironic that virtually every time the Hulk is sent out on an enforcement mission, he winds up going easy on the guy he's supposed to be leaning on. Both he and Berengetti are big softees. Who says nice mobsters don't get ahead? Quality Rating: C Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP places this between Hulk #354-355. CommentsThe art here makes Fixit look like a generic Dick Tracy, or maybe Frankenstein's Monster, type, only colored gray.
