Review/plot:
Robot Basketball time.

Tony agrees to a joint venture with Donovan Robotics, although he's warned that Donovan is dealing with some industrial sabotage at the moment. "Two months" later, he's alerted to an attack at Donovan Robotics, and he winds up with a virus in his armor, and then Donovan himself sends robots to attack him.

Iron Man defeats the robots and bonks the old man on the head.

Quality Rating: D+

Historical Significance Rating: 1

Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP have this as Iron Man's first appearance after Fantastic Four #341. That's not based on anything particular, although it does show how weird it is that the resolution to Iron Man (and Thor) falling into the timestream was never shown. I'd like to think that Iron Man immediately returned to the present and found himself watching a basketball game between his suit of armor and a robot. (This story actually takes place over the course of "two months".)

Comments

"Donovan's Brains" refers to the Curt Siodmak novel (and subsequent movie) Donovan's Brain.

And a pretty creepy radio play, too.
