Review/plot:
Tony Stark travels to Hawaii to visit an old friend that is having trouble with some construction equipment that he purchased from Stark Enterprises. The equipment was working fine until it was brought to the island of Kaua'i to build a new hotel.

It turns out that the hotel is being built over catacombs, and the island natives aren't happy about it. Iron Man follows a flying skull that leads him through a psychedelic history of Hawaii.

Tony solves the problem by buying his friend's interest in the hotel for $13 million and then donating the problem as a wildlife refuge with a small cultural museum.

Must be nice to have money. The solution doesn't really get to the heart of the progress vs. cultural preservation problem, though.

Comments

Since Steve Leialoha has Hawaiian roots, I wonder if this story was done specifically so he could draw it?
