Marvel Fanfare #14 (Vision & FF)Issue(s): Marvel Fanfare #14 (Vision & Fantastic Four story only) Review/plot: The Thinker's partner is the Klaw, who is uncharacteristically depicted as an idiot that doesn't even understand the word "fruition" (Klaw is, of course, a super-scientist physicist who invented his 'sound to living light' converter). Statement of Ownership Total Paid Circulation: Average of Past 12 months = 115,232. Single issue closest to filing date = 107,175. Quality Rating: C Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP places this first story between Fantastic Four #201-202 and Avengers #177-179. As Michael notes in the comments, the reason it's been pushed back so far is that each Klaw appearance after this one feeds directly into the next one, with no room for him to appear here in between. (On the other hand, Klaw's lack of intelligence might have been explained if it did indeed take place in 1984, since at that point Klaw was recovering from having been bouncing around Galactus' spaceship for a while.) Unfortunately, the second story in this issue, which was complete crap, has to take place at a different time so it's been split into a separate entry. Posted by: Mark Drummond | August 28, 2011 1:54 AM As to why this has been pushed back so far- it has to take place before Klaw's "death" in Dazzler 9, and that story follows his defeat in Marvel Two-In-One Annual 6, where's he's revived after his defeat in Marvel Two-In-One 57-58, where he's revived after his defeat in Black Panther 14-15. Basically, each of Klaw's defeats follows from the next one until you go back before Black Panther 14-15. Posted by: Michael | March 18, 2018 6:49 PM Good lord - I have Klaw's "death" in Dazzler 9... Posted by: BU | March 18, 2018 8:36 PM @Michael, thanks, that makes sense. Posted by: fnord12 | March 19, 2018 4:42 PM Comments are now closed. |
