Issue(s): Marvel Fanfare #5
Cover Date: Nov 82
Title: "To steal the sorcerer's soul!" / Shall freedom endure..."
Credits:
Chris Claremont / Roger McKenzie - Writer
Marshall Rogers / Luke McDonnell - Penciler
P. Craig Russell / John Beatty - Inker

Review/plot:
This is a Dr. Strange story featuring Nicodemus, a villain from a back-up story in an issue of Defenders.

It's written by Claremont and it's got art by Marshall Rogers and P. Craig Russell, so it's top quality talent...

...but the story just isn't all that great. We do get to see Dr. Strange's bathrobe, though.

The original Nicodemus story was kind of a weird sex-slave story, so you might think Claremont would have had Clea play a more prominent role in the battle here, but she mainly watches from afar.

The second story features Captain America going up a against neo-Nazi whose Nazi father was defeated by Cap in WWII.

That's the neo-Nazi, in Cap's uniform, getting impaled by the statue in that last panel.

Quality Rating: C

Chronological Placement Considerations: All appearances are context free, but it's before Clea left Dr. Strange for her own dimension in Dr. Strange #53.
