Review/plot:
For once, a very clever little back-up story. This features a group of alien mercenaries that make a raid on Earth in order to retrieve a probe for their Skrull employers.

What makes it great is that the story is from the perspective of the aliens, to the point where all of the human dialogue is gibberish.

It's not just that gimmick, though. I love that the aliens use phrases like "smooth skinned bipeds" as an insult.

And think that Iron Man is a defense robot at first.

And then start to realize that they're on that planet, with all the super-heroes.

And also have mundane concerns like wanting hazard pay...

...and worry about their mortgage.

Fun story. A case where there's some actual innovation going on in Marvel Fanfare.

Dave Ross is a very competent artist, but it is apparent that he has an affinity for bird-like characters, as we will see in his creator-owned book Thrax.

Dan Mishkin was a DC writer for many years, bets known perhaps for his work on the comedic Blue Devil series and the "girls' fantasy" comic Amethyst, both characters he co-created.
