Marvel Fanfare #53 (Iron Man)Issue(s): Marvel Fanfare #53 (Iron Man story only) Review/plot: ![]() What makes it great is that the story is from the perspective of the aliens, to the point where all of the human dialogue is gibberish. ![]() It's not just that gimmick, though. I love that the aliens use phrases like "smooth skinned bipeds" as an insult. ![]() And think that Iron Man is a defense robot at first. ![]() And then start to realize that they're on that planet, with all the super-heroes. ![]() And also have mundane concerns like wanting hazard pay... ![]() ...and worry about their mortgage. ![]() Fun story. A case where there's some actual innovation going on in Marvel Fanfare. ![]() Quality Rating: B+ Chronological Placement Considerations: The main story in this issue is covered in a separate entry.
