Review/plot:
This is Steve Gerber's last issue on Son of Satan, although he'll continue to appear in Gerber's Defenders. The credits list both Gerber and Friedrich as writers, so it's not clear that Gerber plotted and Friedrich scripted, although i assume that was the case since Gerber had been writing the series.

Daimon Hellstrom has had a few minor run-ins with a local group of Nihilists, and in this issue he is attacked by their leader, Father Darklyte.

Daimon annihilates the Nihilists...

...and destroys Darklyte, who turns out to have been filled with bugs.

The coolest part of the story is when Darklyte creates a bunch of soul-less duplicates of Katherine Reynolds, and after sorting out which one is real, Hellstorm just burns the others, freaking out Katherine and Byron Hyatt.

Hellstorm is completely unsympathetic.
