Marvel Super Heroes #2 (Rogue)Issue(s): Marvel Super Heroes #2 (Rogue) Review/plot: The guy turns out to be working for Mystique. Somewhere along the way, the colorist seems to have gotten confused. When disguised as the jogger's sister, Mystique appears to be black, and in those specific panels, the jogger is black as well. But otherwise, he's white. The jogger also turns out to be a robot created by Machinesmith. Mystique is trying to get Rogue back from "those goody-goody X-Men". Rogue starts suspecting that something is up thanks to a sixth sense (not Ms. Marvel's seventh sense?). Rogue follows the robot and finds Mystique. Through what seems like an unforced error on Rogue's part, the robot is destroyed. Mystique, regretting having hurt her adopted daughter, then touches Rogue so that Rogue will absorb her psyche and understand why she did what she did. But Rogue still doesn't understand. Everything about this is atrocious. The art is horrible, the writing is terrible, and i can't imagine when anyone thought this would take place. Quality Rating: D Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP have this between X-Men #188-189. I don't even want to think about it, so i'm just going with that. For the other the stories in this issue, see the main entry here, and that will also link to a few other stories that have been split out. References: N/A Crossover: N/A Continuity Insert?
