Marvel Team-Up #24Issue(s): Marvel Team-Up #24 Review/plot: This issue starts with Spider-Man desecrating a J. Jonah Jameson billboard, which seems a little out of character. Not much here. Not doing much to make Brother Voodoo an appealing character, and not a good story generally. I guess it was the first appearance of Brother Voodoo in the larger Marvel universe, though. Can't think of why else this was reprinted as a Marvel Milestone. Quality Rating: D+ Chronological Placement Considerations: The MCP has this between Brother Voodoo's appearances in Tales of the Zombie #6 and #10. Spider-Man's appearance is context free, but i've pushed this back a bit in publication time to allow Marvel Team-Up #25 to line up with Daredevil #112. References: N/A Crossover: N/A Continuity Insert? N My Reprint: Marvel Milestones: Legion of Monsters, Spider-Man and Brother Voodoo
CommentsThe cover to this issue--plus an issue of Man-Thing, and a few others--spurred a nasty comment in the letter column criticizing Marvel for having too many covers with tied-up women with cleavage ready to pop out. Posted by: Mark Drummond | August 18, 2011 12:31 PM Comments are now closed. |
