Issue(s): Marvel Two-In-One #14
Cover Date: Mar 76
Title: "Ghost town!"
Credits:
Bill Mantlo - Writer
Herb Trimpe - Penciler
John Tartaglione - Inker

Review/plot:
Reed Richards makes the Thing give up his New Years Eve celebration with Alicia to go investigate a supernatural phenomenon happening in a ghost town in Lawless, Arizona. The Thing finds an ominous picture, and Daimon Hellstrom shows up to confirm that there's a big supernatural bad thing happening.

The guy in the painting is Jedidiah Ravenstorm, a demonic cowboy that was finally killed in Lawless after a century of terror. His ghost appears...

...but he turns out to really be Kthara, the demon that Daimon recently exorcised in his own series.

Kthara/Ravenstorm accidentally releases their hold over the town while fighting Hellstorm, and that frees the spirits of the town to awaken and defeat him.

Kind of uninteresting. Even the Misunderstanding Fight...

...doesn't have Mantlo's heart in it; it's over in less than a page with Kthara releasing the possessed Thing just because she's bored.

Not to nitpick but it's Hellstrom not Hellstorm.

Ok to nitpick! I wort it that way because it combines his suprehroe name with his actual one, so it was just shrothand.

@Fnord-My turn to pick a nit. In the sentence before your Quality Rating, you state that Kthara releases possession of the Thing because HE'S bored. The demon Kthara is actually female, and is acknowledged as such in this story.

Thanks Brian.
