Review/plot:
This is unfortunately a bit of a letdown. It's a Thing/Living Mummy team-up, but the two characters barely interact and in fact the Mummy does very little. And it's not even a wrap-up or disposal of the Mummy; he just shows up briefly to fight the bad guy...

...and then wanders back into the desert without a word to the Thing.

The villain is Nephrus, the evil sorcerer from his first appearance, who takes over the body of an archeologist and also turns Alicia Masters into his goddess-mate.

It's all very generic.

Chronological Placement Considerations: I've got this in the same gap as a lot of other Two-In-Ones, from #92-100, between Fantastic Four #250-251.

Comments

Quality on MTIO has declined incredibly since the Gruenwald/Macchio days. It's gone from an above average book to boring generic.
