Review/plot:
Shang-Chi defeates Shockwave in their rematch by throwing him into a pool of water.

The battle is at MI-6's safehouse at the private estate of MI-6's Chief of Swiss Operations, Sir Herbert Griswold.

It turns out Shockwave is MI-6 leader Sir Denis' nephew, which is why the others didn't want to tell him about Shockwave's actions last issue.

Black Jack is seemingly killed in a bomb explosion.

And the mysterious double agent that Leiko was sent to protect turns out to be... someone i never heard of.

She was apparently a concubine of Fu Manchu's, though, and Shang-Chi knows her.

A lot of spy intrigue, and the dialogue, characterization, and art bring it to the next level.

Comments

Ducharme had appeared in Deadly Hands of Kung Fu previously.

Oddly, the MCP lists Ducharme's DHKF appearances but not her MOKF appearances. I wasn't sure if it was the same character.

(The management apologizes for all of the acronyms in this comment.)

Paul Gulacy stated in an interview that a number of character faces were based on movie actors, one of whom being Lee Marvin(though I can't guess which character represented which actor).

In FOOM#13, Moench stated that Griswold was based on Sydney Greenstreet and Robert Morley.

Ducharme had appeared in several earlier Shang Chi stories, but I think those had all been in the B&W title Deadly Hands of Kung Fu.
