Moon Knight #54Issue(s): Moon Knight #54 Review/plot: But who cares about that when Moon Knight has a new sweet ride: the Moon Mobile! ![]() Unfortunately it gets taken over by a demon before anyone gets to take it out on the town. ![]() So Moon Knight has to fight it (why am i having flashbacks to the Spidey-Mobile?). ![]() And it turns into robot?! ![]() Moon Knight eventually dismantles the Mobile, but the demon - actually a gremlin named Pang - then takes over Times Square. ![]() The police shut off the power in Times Square, preventing Moon Knight from investigating further. It's later decided that Moon Knight must have picked up the gremlin while visiting Dr. Strange. We also learn that there are more gremlins to come. ![]() There's also some stuff going on with Frenchie and Chloe, and Seth and Marlene. Seth sends the Hellbent demons Agony and Flare after Frenchie. Chloe, watching nearby, does not jump in to help. ![]() Moon Mobile? Gremlins? Seriously, WTF? Quality Rating: D Chronological Placement Considerations: Next issue begins a story that ties in with Infinity Crusade (although it's not an official tie-in). So i've pushed this issue back in publication time before the start of Infinity Crusade. The scene with Frenchie and the Hellbent demons picks up next issue, with Frenchie having been caught and tortured a bit. So i'm stopping here to catch things up with Infinity Crusade, but not much time should pass in between this issue and next. I'm therefore assuming that Network was kept on ice for a long time before the autopsy. References:

CommentsMoon Knight looks a lot like Hobgoblin while he was fighting the car. Posted by: JSfan | November 29, 2016 3:55 PM Nowadays this issue reminds me of Monty Python's Flying Circus animated sequence with the Killer Cars :) Posted by: Ben Herman | November 29, 2016 4:27 PM A terribly decompressed arc. How can a book survive when it takes the best part of a year to answer even basic questions of its own plot? Posted by: Luis Dantas | November 29, 2016 5:55 PM "It's later decided that Moon Knight must have picked up the gremlin while visiting Dr. Strange in the last arc, but we know that Moon Knight's computer equipment has been plagued by a gremlin since prior to that." Fnord, I think that the footnote to issue 47 is a mistake and the demon is supposed to be the one from issue 46- the one that crawled out of Marc's cloak. Posted by: Michael | November 29, 2016 7:52 PM Correct about the footnote. Thanks Michael. Posted by: fnord12 | November 30, 2016 1:40 PM Comments are now closed. |
