Cover Date: Feb 78
Title: "Fear stalks floor 40"

Review/plot:
Carol's father is the foreman on a construction crew. He is raising a fuss over the faulty materials that are being used, and the building owner targets him for assassination. Carol transforms into Ms. Marvel and saves her father from a new Steeplejack, who turns out to be the building manager, Maxwell Plumm, that the first Steeplejack was after due to safety concerns similar to Mr. Danvers'.

Carol's mother figures out that she is Ms. Marvel.

Meanwhile, Frank Gianelli catches a man named "Ballard" snooping around in Carol Danver's office.

This issue has a cameo by Dracula, who almost attacks Carol as she walks through the Boston fog before she transforms into Ms. Marvel and flies away.

Fill in art by Carmen Infantino is pretty good.

Comments

I guess putting the feminist heroine against an evil construction worker seems a natural fit.

That beat cop must be awfully hard of hearing.

and Dracula....

I cross referenced his book and it looks like he was hanging out in Boston at this time but, man, what a weird cameo!
