Cover Date: May 77
Title: "Bridge of no return"
Credits:
Chris Claremont, Archie Goodwin, & Jim Shooter - Writer
Jim Mooney - Penciler
Joe Sinnott - Inker

Review/plot:
Issue #8 says that Goodwin and Shooter helped out with the writing for this issue.

This is kind of a cheesey fill-in. Ms. Marvel receives a premonition regarding an attack on an armored vehicle, and she flies out to stop it but gets into a fight with the Vision, who is protecting it.

After a protracted fight, Marvel is able to pull out the bomb and prevent destruction. It was all a plot by AIM, directed by MODOK.

Also, Carol's lame psychiatrist boyfriend tries to convince her to give up being Ms. Marvel.

Quality Rating: C-

Historical Significance Rating: 1

Chronological Placement Considerations: As confirmed in the letters page for Ms. Marvel #14, MODOK appears here after his seeming death in Iron Man annual #4.

Comments

Claremont stated he didn't mesh too well with Jim Mooney, and he hearly quit the book several times out of frustration in trying to get a direction.
